Dec 23rd-26th

We only had two days to snowboard at Lake Tahoe, but it was still fun. Even though the snow was a little icy, the weather was nice, the cloudless sky exposing all the sun’s warmth. Sierra had some nice slopes, so all of us were happy that we spent our second day there. Angie, Dejoy, Hazel, and Rhona tried out snowboarding for the first time, and just like my first time, they came home with sore butts on the first day. However, I’d say that they all showed significant improvement on the second day.

The last day at Tahoe was spent snowmobiling, which was a first experience for me. A single file line of snowmobiles followed one guide up the mountain and back down again- a round trip of two hours. We all paired up with someone to ride the snowmobiles and Stewart partnered up with me. Even though we weren’t allowed to kick our tails out on the turns because of the icy conditions, I couldn’t help myself. I managed to sneak in some oversteer action in between the occasional check up glances our guide made at the line of snowmobiles. Stewart's and my snowmobile was just two snowmobiles behind the guide’s, but I was sure if she caught me she wouldn’t really do anything because she was pretty cool about everything anyway. Overall, this trip was short but sweet.

Outside the cabin- Don't ask why Stewart looks like that.
